A series of 15 patients (8 men, 7 women, mean age 35.7 ± 8.2 years) who were on CAPD for 3.6 ± 1.6 years before KT was performed. They had no history of previous transplantations. CAPD was reestablished as a replacement modality 4.3 ± 1.4 days before KT. The waiting time between CAPD discontinuation and KT was 48.3 ± 40.7 months (range 9-180 months).
