NOTE: The program supports all versions of BarTender (v4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.0, 5.1 and 5.2). The program is also compatible with Citrix XenApp 6.5 and Windows RDP 6.1
The BarTender license server automatically registers all printers on your network. This registration can then be used to determine the number of licenses required by your BarTender system. If your BarTender system is running on Citrix XenApp or Windows RDP, you may have to run Seagull License Server on some of your systems. Failure to install this component will cause your BarTender license server to over-count your available printers.
When the Seagull License Server is installed on your Citrix XenApp server, an extra CNF service is installed on that machine. You are therefore responsible for keeping this service up to date. Seagull License Server Remote Assistant Serial Key verifies that this service is up to date and notifies you if it is not.
Seagull License Server will be installed on the Client side of the Citrix or Windows RDP environment. For a Windows Client the user MUST have administrative rights. You can use Seagull License Server to collect license information from Windows RDP or Citrix XenApp clients and send out those license numbers to your license server. You will also be able to use Seagull License Server to send a warning message to the client when there are problems in the printer registration data collection process.
You can only use Seagull License Server to collect license information from machines that have previously been set up with Seagull License Server.
Installing Seagull License Server
1) Download the Seagull License Server from the link at the top of the page
2) Install the Seagull License Server and its dependencies on your Citrix XenApp server
3) Allow users to install the Seagull License Server
4) Restart the service when Seagull License Server is installed
5) Register each of your printers with Seagull License Server by clicking on Start, selecting Run, typing %SystemRoot
