Dear Parents,
Welcome to term two! I hope you enjoyed the winter break and are not suffering too much in the freezing temperatures, it certainly doesn’t feel like the Spring term! A particular welcome if you are a new parent, every week you will receive a newsletter which contains information about school life in general and about your child’s class. We hope you enjoy reading about life at EIS.
In the final newsletter of 2021 I told you that the student council had organized an activities day to raise money for two local charities. I am delighted to announce that their efforts raised nearly 29,000RUB! The money will be split between Diema’s Dreams and a local animal shelter. A huge well done to all of our students.
A plea! Last year the student council introduced a ‘Bring your own Bottle’ policy to stop the use of disposable plastic cups. Some students have returned to school without a reusable water bottle, so on behalf of the student council I would like to ask you all to ensure that your child brings a water bottle into school.

A Level Maths exams – 10th-21st January.
Anti-Bullying Week - week beginning 31st January
Book Week – week beginning 7th February
Half term break – Wednesday 23rd – Friday 25th February
Years 11-13 second mock examination week – week beginning 28th February
Pi Day – 14th March
Science Week starts 15th March
Years 7-10 assessment week – week beginning 28th March
Celebration of Nationalities Day – 8th April.
