History
Vikram Bhatt began to shoot the film in 2005. The filming took place in Mumbai, Delhi, New Delhi and in the Himalayas. The filming was done in the areas of Garhwali in the foothills of Mount Kanas, Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi, Rishikesh and in the mountains of Ladakh in the then-Nepal. His efforts were rewarded with the 2016 "Best Director" National Film Award for Raaz 3: Third Dimension.
Plot
The story revolves around two brothers, Deep and Kunal. Deep has a wife and children, and his life is going smoothly. His younger brother Kunal has no one, and he is an orphan. Deep and Kunal are not very close. One day they are in a train where a woman, Aditi, seduces them. Kunal falls in love with Aditi.
Kunal marries Aditi and the couple have two children, Kunal's son and Aditi's daughter. Kunal wants to end his miserable life and asks Deep to kill him. In an attempt to avoid a legal battle, Kunal kills Aditi. Kunal becomes a murderer and is put in jail. Meanwhile, Deep has arranged a second marriage for Aditi and Aditi takes Kunal's children with her. Kunal is heartbroken.
After six years, Kunal comes out of prison and kills Aditi and her children. Deep wants to know how Kunal could have developed an extreme hatred against him, given that they had grown up together. Deep and Kunal's sisters, Rima and Nimmo, help them to learn how Kunal came to kill their mother and siblings.
The movie ends with Kunal committing suicide.
Music
The music of the film has been composed by Jaidev, Vidyasagar, Shantanu Moitra, Jayesh Raghav and Kunal Ganjawala. The lyrics of the songs have been written by Pancham, Vicky Goswami, Vishal Dadlani, Mustafa Akbar, Kedar Mansuri, Bharat Balle and Kunal Ganjawala.
