ShellRunas is a shell extension for Windows 7. It provides
preferences, key-bindings and actions to launch and open files or
programs as another user. The feature support launching programs as
administrator, SYSTEM or current user.
Under the hood, ShellRunas uses the RegisterUserA and SetUserA API calls which will be discussed in more detail in the next chapter.

You can launch programs as any user by default, but you can also launch programs as another specific user, or with a specific group.
You can launch any program as another user.
To get started, right-click on a file or folder and you will see the ShellRunas context menu entry for the selected item.
ShellRunas Setup
If you click the ShellRunas shell extension, you'll be presented with a help page that lists the basic ShellRunas features. This page also shows you an overview of the features that are specific to ShellRunas. You can configure the parameters of ShellRunas via the preferences dialog. The user interface of the preferences dialog is based on the UI of the older Shellie tool from Sureshita, which was renamed and merged with the Internet Explorer settings in IE8.
ShellRunas allows you to specify the particular user account that you want to launch the program as, the name of the program to launch, and to specify which group of users, if any, will be able to launch the specified program. You can have ShellRunas launch all programs as the current user, all programs as the specified user, all programs as any user in the specified group, or just the specified user.
