Original report: A U.S. female gymnast has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan’s Kyodo news agency and Reuters are reporting.

Inzai, the Chiba Prefecture city that is hosting the gymnast, announced the news Monday, the reports said. The city did not reveal the athlete’s name but said she is a teenager, Kyodo reported.

Another gymnast who had close contact with the infected athlete is now in isolation, according to Kyodo.

The following female gymnasts are representing the U.S. at the Olympics: Simone Biles, 24; Sunisa Lee, 18; Jordan Chiles, 20; Grace McCallum, 18; MyKayla Skinner, 24; and Jade Carey, 21. Alternates include Kayla DiCello, 17; Kara Eaker, 18; Emma Malabuyo, 18; and Leanne Wong, 17.
