Tribeca Film Festival organizers plan to debut a new first-run movie theater at the Tribeca Film Center in Soho, sources familiar with the project said. The site of the new theater is still under discussion, but officials are looking at Soho as a possible location, according to the sources. The theater, tentatively titled The Location, would be on one of the current screens at the Tribeca Cinemas at 54 Duane Street, where there are six screens. The Hollywood Reporter first reported the plan.
“Film makes people crazy, it makes them think, it makes them debate, it makes them reflect.” I don’t know if it’s the kick of knowing what’s going to happen next, the thrill of revelation or the temptation of the unblinding light, but the brilliance of a good movie remains universal.
