📣EYFS
Autumn leaves seem to hold a fascination for EYFS. We have bunches of beautiful, brightly coloured autumn leaves collected by the children, while they have climbed up short trees, shaking the branches to collect the leaves shed and tossing the yellow, red and orange leaves in the air; laughing joyously as they came raining back down. 
This week we learned the “Tt” sound in phonics, learning how to form the letter ‘Tt’, singing the ‘When I watch a tennis game’ song and finding things that begin with ‘Tt’. In Numeracy, EYFS have recapped simple 2D shapes learned last week and have begun learning the names of simple 3D shapes. They have enjoyed building cubes and stacking 3D shapes together to form buildings, houses, towers etc…We continue learning more about each other in our topic ‘Marvellous Me’. Children have been sharing photographs of their families, introducing us to family members and telling us more about their families. They also enjoyed our Science lesson, observing ‘magic’ beads absorb water and expand. They felt the beads before and after they soaked up all the water in the pots, allowing the swollen beads to bounce on the tables and squish them between their fingers. 
RUSSIAN (Native). In Russian EYFS focused on the letter X. We tried to identify the place of this consonant - in the beginning, or the middle or in the end of the given words. Also kids practised their syllabic reading and handwriting skills. Well done! 
ART. With EYFS, we made an autumn art activity, using finger painting. Children loved finger painting; it is a lovely sensory experience and great for hand-eye coordination. They learned how to use fine motor skills when using their fingers, as well as learned the new techniques to create fun pictures.
