Almost any font installed on your computer can be enlisted and used at the same time by a simple mouse click. In addition, those can be compared by individual characters, and used in creative workflows.
Sometimes when we have a task to do, we tend to want to do it by a shortcut. As a shortcut, we go to the folder on our computer, open the text document, and simply type the commands. So why not let the computer do this work for us?
One of the best reasons for doing so is that it saves our time. It also makes the process easy and effortless. However, depending on the operating system, some shortcuts to open the text document require the target folder to be specified first. This is exactly why we are going to explain how you could do that with an easy and free GUI for Windows 10 Home.
How to do it with a GUI
Here are the steps we have done in the following video:
Step 1: Go to the target folder
To begin with, we need to open a certain folder and then navigate to the text document that needs to be opened. For that, we need to open the search bar, and type the right folder name. You can find the target folder from the shortcut we have just made earlier. This will happen when you open the application in Windows 10.
Step 2: Go to the shortcut
Now that we have opened the target folder, we need to open the document that we created earlier. There are two methods to do that:
a. With the right click. In the target folder, right click on the document, and select open with.
b. You can also select Open File. Then navigate to the target file, and double click to open it.
Step 3: Follow to the next step
Once you have opened the target file successfully, you will get a shortcut on your desktop. This will take you to the same application from where you start the shortcut. However, what you have just done here is a shortcut to the target folder. You can also do the same using shortcuts to open the file, and the text file from the target folder.

Cons
Sometimes I got the message that there was no fonts to compare (I´ve tryed it 7 times), but compare other fonts aways works perfect. But sometimes (like in this case) you must exit the program to get out this annoying message.
