MultiSystem is based on the concept of ‘script templates’. Essentially, these templates allow you to do three main things:
Create a set of scripts which will be made available for use in a specified range of variables or data. This method is called ‘script template’, because a user can create a template for a collection of variables and use that template for another set of variables.
Create scripts as the basis of a trading system. The scripts created using the templates are used in WealthScript’s built in ‘Scoring’ function and in that capacity can be used for all WealthScript variables. Scripts which are created using the templates can be ‘tuned’ to change the scoring function for your specific needs.
Create ‘systems’ using multiple assets or objects. The systems created using the templates are used in WealthScript’s built-in function ‘Combine’. Systems created using the templates can be tuned to use different assets, just like WealthScript’s other built-in functions.
The scripting language in WealthScript is called Powerscript.
This language is similar to Excel’s scripting language, VBA, but is structured in a more robust and consistent way.
Powerscript has some syntactical differences and some syntax which makes the syntax a little more complicated than Excel’s VBA.
However, being a very powerful and robust scripting language, it is not complex to learn and the level of proficiency required to develop a trading system based on Powerscript is very low.
MultiSystem Installation:
The biggest challenge with MultiSystem is making sure that all the scripts which make up the system are accessible and that all of the scripts making up the system are linked to each other. This is explained in a bit more detail below.
If you are installing MultiSystem, the first thing to do is to go to the menu, the same menu you access on WealthScript’s website. Click on the last option, ‘System Installer’. Then click on the ‘Install MultiSystem’ item. You will now have the choice of installing:
A *Hotfix. This is a convenient way of installing new scripts when you know that there is a minor bug in the system and you want to try out the fix immediately.
An ‘Modular’ system. This will install all the scripts in the system into a single folder. You will be provided with
